چکیده

We explore the one-loop electroweak radiative corrections in the context of the traditional minimal SU(5) and the string-inspired SU(5) × U(1) supergravity models by calculating explicitly vacuum-polarization and vertexcorrection contributions to the ǫ1 and ǫb parameters. We also include in this analysis the constraint from b → sγ whose inclusive branching ratio B(b → sγ) has been actually measured very recently by CLEO. We find that by combining these three most important indirect experimental signatures and using the most recent experimental values for them, mt ∼ 170 GeV is excluded for μ > 0 in both the minimal SU(5) supergravity and the no-scale SU(5)×U(1) supergravity. We also find that mt ∼ 175 (185) GeV is excluded for any sign of μ in the minimal (SU(5)× U(1)) supergravity model. PACS numbers: 12.15.Ji, 04.65.+e, 12.60.Jv, 14.80.Ly Typeset using REVTEX 1

A survey of phenomenological constraints on supergravity models

We advocate the study of supergravity models as well motivated few-parameter low-energy supersymmetric models. In this context we survey a broad range of phenomenological constraints and future tests, including present and nearfuture Tevatron (q̃, g̃, χ±1 , t̃1) and LEP (h, χ ± 1 ) mass limits, collider indirect tests (Γ Z , Rb,mt), rare processes (b → sγ, (g− 2)μ), proton decay, and dark matter (...

Sparticles at the LHC

Sparticle mass hierarchies will play an important role in the type of signatures that will be visible at the Large Hadron Collider. We analyze these hierarchies for the four lightest sparticles for a general class of supergravity unified models including nonuniversalities in the soft breaking sector. It is shown that out of nearly 104 possibilities of sparticle mass hierarchies, only a small nu...

Gauge-mediated SUSY Breaking at an Intermediate Scale

Gauge-mediated SUSY breaking with a messenger scale of order 10 GeV has some interesting features. It can solve the flavor changing neutral current problem of supersymmetric models with predictions for superpartner masses which are identical to those of minimal supergravity models. It can however also lead to theories with novel experimental signatures. For example, we present a model in which ...

We discuss fine-tuning constraints on supergravity models. The tightest constraints come from the experimental mass limits on two key particles: the lightest CP even Higgs boson and the gluino. We also include the lightest chargino which is relevant when universal gaugino masses are assumed. For each of these particles we show how fine-tuning increases with the experimental mass limit, for four...

R-Parity violating minimal supergravity at the LHC

We consider the case where supersymmetry with broken R-parity is embedded in the minimal supergravity model (mSUGRA). This alters the standard mSUGRA spectrum and opens a wide range in parameter space, where the scalar tau is the lightest supersymmetric particle, instead of the lightest neutralino. We study the resulting LHC phenomenology. Promising signatures would be detached vertices from lo...
